What the features does?


Polls as the name describes is that section of the app which gives the user the ability to voice his/her opinion on a question asked by the admin. This is usually conducted from the event organizers to know the pulse of the audience in a one day event or by the app admins if they wish to know the most popular opinion among their employees.



How the feature looks when in action?


The Polls section of the app is shown in action with the help of some screenshots. This will give you the idea of how the feature can be used and how it renders on the mobile device(Android in this case)

The screenshots show the various options that can be used to curate a poll. You can also put a banner image on each of the poll questions.




How to set-up the feature?


Please find the steps below:


1. Go to https://cms.aidaio.com

2. Select your app

3. Click on Modules from the bunch of options given



4. Click on Features from the options given




5. Now we need to add the Polls feature in the module

  • Click on the Pick a Feature bar and search for Polls
  • Click on the Add Feature button present just below the search button
  • The feature is now added to the module
  • Now click on the Polls feature created and you will be taken to a different screen where you can configure the name of the feature, can change the icon rendered on the device and make it visible/invisible for the end user

How to add content to the feature?



Now that we have added the module, we need to add content. Please find the steps to add content below:


1. Hover over the left-hand side pane

2. Click on the Content button

3. Now click on the Polls tab and add the required info

4. Click on Save after you have added all the relevant data

Now we will create a Poll under the Drafts section 


1. Click on Plus(+) button present on the bottom-right corner of the page

2. Now click on Add a Poll button if you wish to create a Poll or click on Import if you wish to import a Poll and add it to the CMS

3. Now you will configure the Poll

4. If you are willing to give your poll a banner image, click on "Click to upload an image" button

5. You can also make the Poll visible to only a logged in users, a particular group(s) or to everyone(value selected by default)

6. Now add the question you wish to ask from the users

7. Give options as feasible and click Save

8. The poll is now saved as a Draft, click on Publish to make the poll live

9. The Bell icon on the left side of the Responses count(xxx Responses) lets you send real time push notification with a custom title and custom message to entice your users to take the poll right away.

10. You can also stream the Poll live and the users can see real-time updates based on their responses

11. You can do the same by following this path Polls --> Published --> Responses --> Project Responses

12. You can create multiple poll questions in a similar manner and gauge the pulse of your audience

Where to find the Poll analytics?



You can find the poll analytics by downloading individual reports of each poll. Each report contains fields such as Name, Email, Phone, External Id(If Any), Groups(If the user belongs to any group), Question, Selected Option, Created At(Timestamp when the response was recorded). Each field is populated with relevant information. You can access each report by following the steps as shown in the screenshots below and assess the answers to reach a conclusion.


Navigate to Content from the side window


After clicking on Content, navigate to the Polls feature



When you will click on Polls, click on Published(It accounts to all the polls that are or were live on the app). The Close button next to the Poll title lets you decide if you would want the users to not to be able to respond to that particular pole. 

The Bell icon on the right side of the Close button lets you send real time push notification with a custom title and custom message to entice your users to take the poll right away.

You can also see the number of responses on each poll and gauge their performances in real time. The Arrow Down button allows you to download the poll analytics report and see all the relevant information.
